About Me

My photo
Hi Bloggers! My name is Tasha. This blog originally started out as a site to show the work of my Grandmother, my Mother, my sister and I to society. All of us are crafty in each own's right and enjoy working and manipulating objects with our hands to create whatever we dream up. BUT, it has become a space I can just jot (or type) down my thoughts and whatever randomness comes up. So... grap a cup of coffee, tea or hot cocoa, grap your mouse and browse the site. Find something you really like in the craft showcases? Email us. You just may be able to get a replica or since it's all handmade, something very similar! Oh! Everything that we have crafted on here is made in the USA!!

Cadence' Joy 26x30 Throw

Let's just start with I absolutely LOVE this throw.  It is not my pattern, but I have LOVED making this blanket for a friend from high school.  (I will not post how long we've been out of high school!!)  I cannot wait to make some adjustments from the pattern that I, well, I just really found a bit.... ok, so I really didn't like certain stitches and want to add some embellishments.  Some decorations and add an additional stitch that I think will enhance the overall flow of the throw... but that's anyone and everyone's preference, right?
How perfect for the run to the store?  Just throw over the carseat and voilĂ  - perfection!  Or what about taking a stroll around the neighborhood or down to the park around the corner?  Again, perfect size for your little one and no need to worry about the throw being to bulky or falling over and getting tangled in the wheels of the stroller or dragging the ground.  ALSO, makes for perfect tummy time blanket!

This 26x30 size is fast working and the
particular yarn used for this project was
Vanna's Choice Baby yarn by Lion Brand yarn in
 Berrylicious and Chocolate Cake.

Everyday Shawl with romantic notions.....

I love the simplicity of this shawl so that you can wear everyday with jeans or dress up for a night out on the town with your sweetheart if you have a notion to.  This shawl can be made thick with three strands such as this or thinner with two or one strand, depending on preference.  I used Lion Brand yarn for this one and it worked up extreemly quickly.   Couldn't you just see yourself wrapped up in this shawl while reading a great book or here's a though... with Valentine's right around the corner, couldn't you use a shawl for that very special night out?
Email us for custom detail and pricing.

My daughter and I have been juggling sick germs for literally 2 months!  UGH!
However, this time, Daddy got on the wagon too, as did Grandma.   We decided to make Daddy and Granny some Get Well cards.... looks like the creativity doesn't fall far from the workstation does it?  :)  This momma is proud!

Surplus Items

I've been doing some purging and cleaning out of my sewing / crochet items.  I am trying to reorganize a sewing / craft station.  Found a pair of gloves I made I called 'Jeanzy Blues'.  They are super soft and super warm.  This yarn is actually a special yarn for me as it came from my late aunt's yarn collection.  I used a very basic pattern to crochet these.
Post a comment and tell me what you think.....

Long time to news...

No new news guys!  Just working away at some projects.

Currently in the 'In progess bin':

1)  1 baby newborn blanket in green & white
2)  1 preemie outfit
3)  1 baby blanket in white, pink and yellow
4)  2 European shawls, 1 blk and 1 gray
5)  1 hat & gloves set
6)  1 pair of Fisherman wool gloves
7)  and the never ending afghan that never seems to get finished since it's personal and everyone else's
     projects come first

I did do some re-organizing over the weekend and found that I seriously need to invest in some containers for the multiple stashes of yarn that are taking over my bedroom.  I re-arranged my room so that I can actually make a workstation (I'm VERY blessed with a very large bedroom) in my room just for the yarn work.  Before there were 2 nightstands,  King size bed, jewelry armior, Tv + stand and dresser in the room.  Now those things are still in there, but there is also boxes (yes, I said boxes) of yarn stacked along one wall and my rocking chair, which was lovingly made by my grandfather when I was born, plus my patterns, needles and in process projects.  And I still have tons of room to spare!  I am so blessed with such a large bedroom!  Thank you Lord! and Jason!  :)
I am on the hunt for just the right cabinet for the yarn and projects so if you see anything you think sounds like what I may be interested in, just send me an email (and maybe a pic).

Hope everyone is enjoying the Winter season!  Much love to you all....
