About Me

My photo
Hi Bloggers! My name is Tasha. This blog originally started out as a site to show the work of my Grandmother, my Mother, my sister and I to society. All of us are crafty in each own's right and enjoy working and manipulating objects with our hands to create whatever we dream up. BUT, it has become a space I can just jot (or type) down my thoughts and whatever randomness comes up. So... grap a cup of coffee, tea or hot cocoa, grap your mouse and browse the site. Find something you really like in the craft showcases? Email us. You just may be able to get a replica or since it's all handmade, something very similar! Oh! Everything that we have crafted on here is made in the USA!!

Contest! Contest! Contest!

Let's run a contest here for a Graceful Girls creation!

What you have to do is be the first person to get 10 friends to become a fan of Graceful Girls!

I've posted info on this site before. (Look below) And I think the bows are amazing! So, let's see what we can do to spread the word of this fantastic site! You have to go to the links below and find the one bow you ABSOLUTELY love and would like to win. Then comment on MY blog which one item that is. Then tell your friends who will need to write on the wall of Graceful Girls, letting her know who sent them to the site. (reference your name and mine) You must comment on MY blog and have YOUR friends write on both walls. Simple enough, huh? So come on! Let's get it started! You can also email me at TheGenerationShop@yahoo.com for questions!

Both Graceful Girls sites are:

OK, so I know that this blog started out as a blog for only TheGenerationShop merchandise, but I just HAVE to post this....

Today was the most AWESOME day! Today was 'Girlfriend Day'. I dubbed today Girlfriend day several weeks ago. And sent out invites to some of my girlfriends and asked them to meet me for a day of fun. We started out at Chili's restaurant and ate and talked and laughed. Then because we totally missed the time for a movie, went over to Barnes and Nobles and spent 3 hours there. Yep, you read that right. I swore I wouldn't buy a book, and looked over at 3 of my girls to see they all had books in their hands.... ugh... the power of peer-pressure. (I got one off the bargain-book row). We had a ton of giggles over one particular book that may have to be purchased for Jason on his birthday. Allison picked it out and either broke it or found a special button on it that wouldn't turn off. Then Allison and Jessa made 'new' titles for some romance books that were ... quite comical. Made me SO proud! ;-) Jessa mentioned I possibly need a Kindle, Nook or I-Book, to which I am totally open to that possibility of, if only I could get a lifetime subscription for books. I'd have it maxxed out in no time, I'm sure. We set in stone the next meeting date, thanks to Brandi, but at this point we have no clue what we are going to do. Maybe a lighting bolt will strike before next month. The best part of the day is, that all my friends met each other - and liked each other. And at one point, I looked across the table at my sister Tammy and smiled, and she smiled back totally reading my mind. My friends, who mostly met each other for the first time today (though some met at my wedding - 10 years ago) were all talking to each other and getting along fabulously. It was as if they had known each other for years and all were the best of pals. Everyone exchanged numbers and business cards (seriously, we all did!) and just had a blast. I couldn't be more thrilled at today's success. However, in my excitement to get the day started, I totally forgot my camera and didn't take the first picture. I am so ashamed and want to make that the #1 rule for next month!!! Help me remember girls! HA! Below you will see the pictures of the most wonderful friends in the world! They are the best!! Even if Andrea gave me some news that made me frown until she extended an invite that I totally plan on cashing in on during a Kentucky Derby weekend! :-)
I hope everyone felt it was as much as a success as I did!!!! I LOVE MY GIRLFRIENDS!
